 Biography

Before I begin with the details of my life’s journey, I would like to express a wisdom that I came to learn and live my life by. If you could indulge me I would like to pass these thoughts on to you as just something for you to think about.

With our current technology available today in the year 2005, Humanity is searching our universe farther than ever before in its history for signs of other intelligent life forms.

Hopefully, if we do discover other intelligent life forms and we are able to land on their planet, they will not immediately react as most human beings are conditioned to react.

The reaction I speak of is the one that is motivated by fear.

Fear is a very powerful survival mechanism and when left unchecked, it usually causes us to strike out and destroy that which we are fearful of.

Hopefully, our new found life forms will not react with immediate fear and destroy us, but will have evolved enough to be able to distinguish between what can and cannot harm them.

Instead they will be curious enough to ask the proverbial questions, "Who are you? Where do you come from?

Curiously, if you were asked that question, how would you reply? Most likely your answer would be, Earth a planet located…blah, blah, blah.

BUT, is the question really that simple to answer? After all, who exactly are we? That is a question I have pondered most of my life. The following is a synopsis of what my conclusions have become for the time being.

Remember now, keeping in mind how most humans react by fear, let us try and place ourselves in the shoes of the first Humans that inhabited this planet. It need not matter whether they were offspring of Adam and Eve or whether they evolved from the ape. What matters most is that early man had no particular language, no history or past knowledge to learn from and just existed with his instinctive survival skills to stay alive.

Humanity as a species is a product of its environment. When I express that statement, I talk not of just the family or neighborhood that we now exist in. Our ways of life and the truths that we now believe in have slowly evolved over thousands of years of history. If one was to fully have an open mind and step outside the box for a moment, one might begin to understand what I mean.

We need to bear in our mind the history and lifestyles of our species that has preceded us.

Each of our lives and the lives of those that came before us only inhabited this planet for an extremely brief period of time. Before the technology that we live with today came to be, Humanities understanding of whom it was in their time, was limited by the contact with very few others of its species. Remember, Humanity as a whole is a part of the animal kingdom and as an animal, we were born with certain traits for survival. All creatures have this instinct, but what sets us apart from them is our ability to reason and change our current environment. With that gift of thought and reasoning, we had the ability to change our psyche and therefore we slowly began to evolve.

Our ancestors lived each day in fear for their survival as they were hunted as prey by other animals for sustenance as we had also hunted them.
